Like our successful intensive back in January of this year, this course is designed to be an accessible, full day course covering a simplified body of techniques from Fiore dei Liberi’s Flor Di Bataglia by examining the actions of the Italian longsword. Starting from the basics of sword movement, starting at a long range engagement distance, and shortening as the day continues.
Previous HEMA or western martial arts experience is helpful but not required as we will be looking at an easily reproducible body of techniques designed for use under the stress of coming to grips with an opponent.
Lunch will be provided on site. If you have any dietary considerations please include them with your registration.

2:30-4:30: Putting it all together: A casserole of mayhem
4:30-6:00: Coached freeplay and sparring applications (additional equipment required, please contact us with any questions.)

Who should attend? Do I have to know sword stuff already?
This class is designed to be accessible to experienced students as well as people picking up a sword for the first time. The only requirements are to be 18 or older and be ready to have fun while learning.
How do I register?
Registrations are completed digitally by contacting us at nebraskasword@gmail.com. We send you a registration form and waiver, you complete it and submit payment before the event, and you are all set.
How do I pay for the class?
Because of our contract with the city we are unable to accept money on site so pre-registration will be required. Payment accepted via Venmo, Paypal, check, or cash in person prior to day of the event
What if I register for this awesome class but a situation comes up and I can’t make it?
Please contact us through Facebook or email one week prior to the class date for a full refund.
